The non-identification(identity) mode means that users can purchase goods without identifying them. In general, such unmanned stores will have an access control system. Consumers can enter the store directly through physical switches. After the consumer enters, the access control automatically locks, and the consumer can re-open the access control after the shopping is completed and the payment is successful. Full open mode means that users can freely enter and leave the store and can freely choose products. The products are equipped with RFID and two-dimensional code payment labels. Consumers can leave the store after selecting the goods and sweeping the code to complete the payment. However, if you leave the store without completing the payment, the access control system will automatically detect and alert the police. The advantage of the fully open model is that it can solve the multi-point shopping settlement problem, while the store transformation is relatively controllable. This model, if it is equipped with a small number of service personnel and combined with the first two models of application equipment, is particularly suitable for convenience stores and supermarkets to form a new model of manned and unmanned applications.
The retail industry itself has a meager profit, especially in convenience stores. The unit price of goods is generally not high, and any increase in costs will pose a huge challenge to its profitability. One aspect of RFID's long history of criticism is its high cost. However, in recent years, with the development of technology and the increase of application scenarios, the cost of RFID tags has fallen. The UHF RFID has some outstanding features and is more favored, such as high sensitivity, the fastest data collection speed, the number of multiple tags, and low cost.
In addition, RFID's full participation in unmanned retail / smart retail also urgently needs to solve many important issues such as identification rate, system-level product standardization, property damage and continuous research and development.
