Time:2018-07-11 / Popularity:

Fijian Airlines is integrating the use of radio frequency identification(RFID) to enhance cabin inspections. The deployment includes various types of emergency equipment on board, such as life jackets, life rafts, oxygen cylinders, fire extinguishers, seat belts, earmuffs, flashlights, life bags and oxygen generators. Models include the A330, B737, ATR and the Double Otter Fleet. The airline has completed the installation of more than 4,000 UHF RFID tags on 15 aircraft throughout its fleet.
Fijian Airlines has used the lifejacket provided by EAM Worldwide for more than 10 years. EAM Worldwide is also the first supplier to embed RFID tags and has been in the leading position in the lifesaving equipment market since 2009.
In order to expand the scope of the RFID project, Fiji Airlines intends to deploy a broader network physics system(CPS) by electronically labelling more items(including seat covers).
