In recent years, RFID technology has developed rapidly, and its applications and fields are becoming more and more extensive. With the rapid development of the Internet of things industry, it is also constantly pushing RFID technology innovation. The full application of various RFID devices in the Internet of things is considered to be one of the most promising information technologies in the twenty-first Century because of its high development potential and application space in management, production and information transmission due to the characteristics of high speed moving object recognition, multi target recognition and non contact recognition.
RFID technology involves many high-tech fields, such as information, manufacturing and materials, including wireless communication, chip design and manufacturing, antenna design and manufacturing, label packaging, system integration, information security and other technologies. Some countries and international multinationals are accelerating the development and application of RFID technology. Over the past ten years, thousands of patents on RFID technology have been generated, mainly in the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries and regions.
RFID label application
According to the different energy supply mode, RFID tags can be divided into three kinds of active, passive and semi active. According to the working frequency, RFID tags can be divided into low frequency (LF), high frequency (HF), ultra high frequency (UHF) and microwave frequency (MW) tags. At present, RFID is the main application of LF and HF label products in the world, and the UHF label begins to be produced in scale. Because it has the advantages of long distance recognition and low cost, it is expected to become the mainstream in the next five years; the MW label has been applied in some countries. China has mastered the design technology of HF chip, and has successfully realized its industrialization. At the same time, UHF chip has also been developed.
Application of RFID antenna
At present, the RFID tag antenna is made mainly of etching / stamping antenna, which is usually aluminum or copper. With the development of new type of conductive ink, the advantages of the printed antenna are becoming more and more prominent. The RFID label packaging is mainly based on the low temperature flip chip bonding process, and there are new label packaging processes such as fluid self assembly and vibration assembly. Low cost and high reliability label manufacturing equipment and packaging technology are being developed in China.
Application of RFID reader and writer
There are many types of RFID reader, and some advanced products can achieve multi protocol compatibility. China has launched a series of RFID read-writer products. The small power reading and writing module has reached the same level of foreign countries. The high-power reading and writing module and the reader and writer chip system (SoC) are still in the R & D stage.
RFID application direction
In terms of application system integration and data management platform, some international organizations have proposed an application architecture based on RFID. The major software vendors also provide RFID services and solutions in their products, and related testing and application promotion are in progress. China has achieved preliminary results in RFID application architecture, public service system, middleware, system integration, information fusion and testing, and the establishment of national RFID testing center has been included in the development plan of science and technology.
China has applied RFID technology to railway vehicle identification, identity card and ticket management, animal identification, special equipment and dangerous goods management, public transportation and production process management, and many other areas.
